Job summary

Nexcel Computer Solutions in Bahrain seeks a System Analyst to study business requirements, design solutions, and guide the SDLC. You will produce ERDs and workflows, and mentor developers across projects.

Ideal candidates have at least 4 years in analysis and 3 in programming, with experience in Oracle/SQL/PostgreSQL, web services, UML, and agile practices. AWS and Mendix experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in system analysis and 3 years in programming.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and other DBs.
• Experience with web services APIs and IDEs like Eclipse/RAD.
• Strong OOAD and UML knowledge; proficient with SDLC and Agile.
• Fluent in English; Arabic preferred; AWS cloud experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Study and analyze business requirements, identify bottlenecks and propose improvements.
• Design effective, economic, high-quality solutions; produce ERD and workflow.
• Guide developers and supervise the software development life cycle.
• Test applications to ensure efficiency, accuracy, security and requirements satisfaction.
• Advise stakeholders on applicable solutions and develop team knowledge.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Study and analyze business requirements / problems, identify bottlenecks, propose optimal process reengineering and design
• Economic, efficient and high-quality solutions.
• Produce solution ERD and workflow.
• Guide programmers and supervise the software development life cycle.
• Test developed applications to confirm efficiency, accuracy, security and business requirement satisfaction.
• Advice stakeholders about applicable solutions for their business problems.
• Develop subordinates knowledge and experience and propose applicable trainings.
• Review user and system documentation and confirm that it is up to date.
• Develop standard procedures and explore possibilities to enhance current procedures.
• Perform other duties and related tasks as may be required.
• All other duties as assigned

Educational Qualifications

Must have B.Sc. degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

Experience

• System Analyst should have the following:
• At least 4 years experiences in the field of system analyzing.
• Minimum 3 years experiences in programming.
• Experience in databases Oracle, Microsoft SQL, Postgre, etc.
• Experience in web services API.
• Experience in Eclipse , Rational Application Developer (RAD)
• Experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD)
• techniques using UML
• Experience in writing technical documents.
• Must be Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing) and preferably Arabic
• Experience in AWS cloud.
• Experience in SDLC like Agile Methodology.
• Knowledge of iOS & Android SDK Preferred
• Experience in User Experience (UX) and Testing Preferred
• Experience in Low Code development is Mandatory (Preferably Mendix)

Required Skills

System Analysts should have excellent skills on user requirements study and application designs

Must be Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing) and preferably Arabic
