Job Purpose

The Senior Solutions Architect for APC is responsible for architecting APC business solutions and implementation of APC solution for the Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Polymers and any other domain including integration of 3rd party systems, custom development when required.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Identify potential areas and benefits for applying Advanced Process Control for various process units and specify the hardware/software architecture to carry out APC implementation.


• Carry out Scoping study, Base case preparation, PID controller tuning, Step test, Models and Inferential Identification.


• Carry out APC & MVC implementations starting from Control Definition, Functional Design Specifications, Plant Testing, Detailed Engineering, Modeling of Controller and Estimator, Site Integration, SAT, Commissioning and PGTR.


• Hands‑on experience for commissioning APC Controllers in Refining, Petrochemical and polymer process units.


• Coordinate multiple projects and provide technical and managerial support for the successful completion of large APC & MVC projects for various process units, and lead a team of APC consultants.


• Provide advisory and maintenance support including carrying out modifications to the Control strategies to ensure higher APC uptime and carry out the required APC training to plant operators & engineers.
