Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Experience in building, infrastructure, and civil engineering projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, commercial administration, and cost control practices.
• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates from drawings and specifications.
• Monitor project costs and align expenditures with approved budgets.
• Prepare monthly valuations, progress claims, and payment applications.
• Review subcontractor quotations, negotiate rates, and prepare subcontract agreements.
• Evaluate and certify subcontractor interim payments and final accounts.
• Track variations, prepare variation orders, and assess commercial impact.
• Assist in contract administration and ensure contract terms compliance.
• Prepare and negotiate claims, extensions of time, and final account settlements.
• Analyze project financial performance and provide cost reports to management.
• Identify commercial risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, consultants, and clients on commercial matters.
