Job summary

Nass Corporation is seeking a Senior QA/QC Engineer to oversee quality control processes across civil projects. The role involves guidance on material usage, testing, inspections, documentation, and compliance with project specifications and standards.

You will work with the Project Manager, site QA/QC Manager, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and testing agencies to resolve quality issues and ensure works meet required standards. Strong coordination and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 7 years of experience in QA/QC within construction.
  • GCC experience preferred.
  • Eligible for CRPEP registration.
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, inspection and testing requirements.
  • Experience reviewing test results and identifying deviations.
  • Knowledge of ITPs and as-built documentation.
  • Knowledge of temporary works is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee inspection, testing, and trial procedures per procedures and records.
  • Analyze quality data, identify discrepancies, and coordinate with stakeholders on issues.
  • Communicate results to project stakeholders and escalate non-conformities.
  • Stop non-compliant work per procedures and standards.
  • Prepare and maintain quality documentation including non-conformances and test reports.
  • Maintain equipment register and ensure calibration of testing equipment.
  • Coordinate QA/QC activities with site teams, consultants, clients and suppliers.
  • Monitor quality performance using SPC and provide improvement recommendations.
  • Maintain updated as-built drawings monthly and coordinate with subcontractors.
  • Conduct pre-job quality briefings on approved method statements.
  • Supervise QA/QC personnel and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Support QA/QC Manager with reporting and quality-related assignments.

Job description

Role Summary

The Senior QA/QC Engineer is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the effective implementation of quality control processes across the project. The role provides technical guidance on material usage, testing, inspections, documentation, and compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and company quality procedures.

The position works closely with the Project Manager, Site QA/QC Manager, consultants, client representatives, subcontractors, suppliers, and testing agencies to identify and resolve quality issues and ensure that project works meet the required standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and verify inspection, testing, and trial procedures to ensure the correct methodologies are followed and results are accurately recorded.
  • Analyze quality and technical data, identify discrepancies, and coordinate with consultants and client representatives on issues affecting project requirements or performance.
  • Communicate inspection and testing results clearly to relevant project stakeholders and promptly escape adverse or non-conforming results to the Project Manager.
  • Identify and stop work that does not comply with approved quality procedures, project specifications, or recognized industry standards.
  • Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including non-conformance records, liability exemption forms, inspection records, test reports, and project close‑out documentation.
  • Ensure all testing and diagnostic equipment is properly used, maintained, stored, and calibrated, and maintain an accurate equipment register.
  • Coordinate QA/QC activities with the Site QA/QC Manager, procurement team, site execution teams, consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and testing agencies.
  • Monitor quality performance using statistical quality control methods and provide reports and recommendations to support continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and updateas-built drawingson a monthly basis, ensuring they accurately reflect site progress, and coordinate with subcontractors to maintain the required level of documentation.
  • Conduct pre-job quality briefings with site execution teams for approved method statements to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to Site Engineers, QA/QC Inspectors, and Document Controllers in relation to quality requirements and project documentation.
  • Ensure quality activities and documentation comply with contract requirements, company standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Support the QA/QC Manager and Project Management team with quality-related assignments and reporting as required.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree inCivil Engineering.
  • Minimum7 years of experiencein QA/QC within the construction industry, preferably on major civil engineering projects.
  • RelevantGCC experienceis preferred.
  • Eligible forCRPEP registration.
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, inspection and testing requirements, construction standards, and project specifications.
  • Experience in reviewing test results, analyzing technical data, and identifying quality deviations or non-conformities.
  • Good understanding of construction documentation, quality records, method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and as-built documentation.
  • Knowledge oftemporary worksis an advantage.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and report statistical quality data.
  • Good database management and reporting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
  • Ability to work independently, make day‑to‑day quality-related decisions, and effectively supervise QA/QC personnel.
  • Proficient in relevant MS Office and quality/document management systems.
  • Willingness to work predominantly on site and collaborate closely with construction and project teams.
