Job summary

VAM Systems Inc is seeking a Senior Java Developer for its Bahrain operations. You will design, develop, and maintain Java applications (8/11/14) with SOLID/DRY, and build backend services using Spring Boot in a microservices setup.

Responsibilities include RESTful API development, data modeling with SQL/NoSQL, and implementing security standards like OAuth2/OpenID. Banking domain experience is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of Java development experience.
• Experience with Spring, microservices and JPA.
• Banking/Financial services domain experience is required.
• Strong RESTful API design and messaging queue knowledge (MQ/Kafka).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications using SOLID/DRY.
• Build backend services with Spring Boot for high performance and scalability.
• Develop, expose, and consume RESTful APIs and integrate SOAP/WSDL when required.
• Implement microservices using JPA/Hibernate and manage API lifecycle.
• Design data models; optimize SQL (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Apply concurrency/multithreading to improve throughput and reliability.
• Implement security standards including OAuth2/OpenID Connect, SAML/SSO, TLS.
• Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate across teams; document flows.
