Job summary

International Turnkey Systems (ITS) in Bahrain seeks a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications, APIs, and microservices using Java and Spring technologies. The role emphasizes backend, security, and DevOps practices within the banking sector.

You will design scalable backend services, expose RESTful APIs, and integrate SOAP/XML as needed while adhering to OOP and DRY principles in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 7–10 years of hands-on Java application development experience.
• Banking or financial services exposure is highly preferred.
• Strong Java 8/11/14 skills and OOP principles.
• Experience with Spring Framework, Microservices, JPA/Hibernate, and API integrations.
• Knowledge of messaging, databases, and secure identity protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java applications and APIs.
• Build scalable backend services with Spring Boot and microservices.
• Expose and integrate RESTful APIs; support SOAP/XML integrations when needed.
• Ensure security best practices, OAuth2/OpenID Connect, SSO, TLS, and PKI.
• Code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure quality and standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain documentation.
