Job summary

VAM SYSTEMS in Bahrain seeks a Sr. Java Developer to design, build, and maintain Java applications using modern frameworks. You will work on RESTful APIs, microservices, and data modeling with MySQL and MongoDB. Strong focus on concurrency, security, and DevOps practices is expected.

The role requires 7–10 years of Java development experience in the banking/financial sector, with expertise in Spring Boot and API design. Banking domain knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of Java development experience in banking/financial sector.
• Strong knowledge of Java, API design and RESTful services.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, and JPA.
• Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB) and SQL databases (MySQL).
• Familiarity with security standards (OAuth, OpenID, SAML).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications using SOLID/DRY and OOP.
• Build backend services with Spring, Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Expose and consume RESTful APIs and integrate SOAP/WSDL when needed.
• Implement microservices with JPA/Hibernate and API lifecycle management.
• Optimize data models, write efficient SQL, and work with MySQL and MongoDB.
• Apply concurrency/multithreading to improve throughput.
• Enforce security standards (OAuth2/OpenID, SAML/SSO, TLS).
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with teams and document integration flows.
• Support CI/CD and Azure DevOps pipelines.
