Job summary

Grant Thornton Bahrain is seeking a Senior Auditor - External Audit to lead and manage external audit engagements in Bahrain. The role requires a CA/ACCA or related qualification and a minimum of 5 years' audit experience. Strong IFRS/GAAP knowledge and excellent communication skills are essential.

You will develop client relationships, review financial statements, mentor junior staff, and participate in BD activities. The position is full-time and based in Bahrain.

Qualifications

• CA/ACCA or related qualification required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in audit & assurance.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and manage multiple engagements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage external audit engagements, including planning, execution, and completion.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or issues.
• Review and analyze financial statements and audit reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify and communicate any potential risks or issues to the audit team and clients.
• Train and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in accounting and auditing standards.
• Participate in business development activities, including networking and proposal writing.
• Assist with other ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by senior management.
