Job summary

Advanced Search is seeking a Senior Estimator (Civil) to prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for civil, infrastructure, marine, and building projects in the GCC region. The role requires reviewing tender documents, performing first-principles estimating, and coordinating with subcontractors and internal teams to ensure competitive bids.

The candidate should have 8–12 years of estimating experience, strong analytical skills, and a proven ability to manage BOQs and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
• 8–12 years of experience in civil, infrastructure, building, industrial, or marine estimating roles.
• Proven experience on GCC or Middle East construction projects preferred.
• Strong expertise in first-principles estimating and cost analysis.
• Experience in reviewing and verifying quantity take-offs.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents to understand project scope, technical requirements, and risks.
• Prepare and submit technical and commercial queries for tender clarification.
• Supervise and verify quantity take-offs for accuracy.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and rate analyses using first-principles methods.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for tender pricing.
• Apply knowledge of manpower, equipment, and productivity norms in civil construction.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to improve competitiveness and profitability.
• Evaluate alternative construction methodologies and cost implications.
• Develop cost-optimization strategies to enhance tender success rate.
• Coordinate with planning, technical, operations, and estimation teams.
