Job summary

Grant Thornton Bahrain seeks a Trainee for the Audit and Assurance Department to gain hands-on experience in planning and executing audit engagements, performing tests of controls, and preparing financial statements.

You will work with experienced professionals, perform research to support findings, and participate in client meetings while developing strong technical and communication skills in a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong academic record with a GPA requirement (if stated)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and execution of audit engagements, including tests of controls and substantive procedures.
• Prepare financial statements and audit reports in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
• Conduct research and analysis to support audit findings and recommendations.
• Participate in client meetings and communicate effectively with clients to gather information and address questions.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of audit engagements and deliver high-quality work.
• Stay updated on relevant accounting and auditing standards and regulations.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients and colleagues
