Job summary

Eurofins IT Solutions Engineer role involves shaping enterprise‑scale platforms, driving solution architecture, and leading technical design with distributed teams. You will contribute to modernising legacy systems, ensuring scalability, security and high performance in a highly regulated environment.

Onboarding in Dresden for 2–3 weeks, followed by quarterly Dresden visits; remote work is available with international travel to support delivery across Europe and the UK.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise software development and architecture experience.
• Strong Java background (Java 11/17, Java EE / Jakarta EE).
• PostgreSQL design and development expertise.
• Hands-on with Eclipse RCP, SWT and JFace; WildFly server.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive solution architecture for enterprise applications.
• Lead technical design activities and support implementation across distributed teams.
• Modernise complex legacy systems while ensuring scalability and security.
• Ensure applications are scalable, maintainable, secure and high performing.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, QA, DevOps and stakeholders.
• Support delivery through the full software development lifecycle.
• Promote engineering best practices and architectural standards.
