Job summary

Eurofins is seeking an experienced IT Solutions Architect to join a major enterprise transformation programme. You will design, evolve and modernise enterprise-scale platforms, ensuring performance, scalability and maintainability.

Based in a regulated environment, you will work with distributed teams across Europe and the UK, leading architectural decisions and delivering system-wide solutions while adhering to best practices and roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise software development and architecture.
• Strong Java background (Java 11/17, Java EE/Jakarta EE).
• Database design and development expertise (PostgreSQL).
• Hands-on experience with Eclipse RCP, SWT/JFace, and WildFly.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced IT Solutions Architect to join a major enterprise transformation programme within a highly regulated environment. This is a hands‑on role combining solution architecture, software engineering expertise, and technical leadership.

Working closely with the core product team in Dresden, business stakeholders, and distributed delivery teams across Europe and the UK, you will be responsible for designing, evolving, and modernising enterprise‑scale platforms while ensuring high standards of performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive solution architecture for enterprise applications

Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for a technology leader with 10+ years' experience in enterprise software development and solution architecture.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong Java background, including Java 11/17 and Java EE / Jakarta EE, together with proven experience designing and delivering enterprise‑scale applications. Strong database design and development expertise, particularly with PostgreSQL, is essential, as is hands‑on experience with Eclipse RCP, SWT and JFace, and WildFly Application Server.

Additional valuable experience includes JPA/Hibernate, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Maven and Azure DevOps. You should have a solid understanding of software architecture, object‑oriented design principles and design patterns, and experience leading the modernisation of legacy systems and supporting long‑term technology roadmaps.

Travel
