Job summary

Confidential Company is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs from inception through completion in Bahrain. The role requires preparing BOQs and tender documents, analyzing tender submissions, negotiating with contractors, and awarding contracts to ensure best value.

The successful candidate will monitor expenditures and identify financial risks, with a 5–7 year track record in the construction industry and professional qualifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control project costs from inception to completion ensuring financial viability and profitability
• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ) and tender documents to solicit competitive bids
• Analyze tender submissions, negotiate with contractors and award contracts while ensuring best value for money
• Monitor and control project expenditure against budget, identifying and mitigating financial risks

Job description

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates bills of quantities BOQ and tender documents to solicit competitive bids
• Analyze tender submissions negotiate with contractors and award contracts while ensuring best value for money
• Monitor and control project expenditure against budget identifying and mitigating financial risks
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., CostX, Candy) and standard measurement tools.
