Job description

Planners are responsible to estimate a timescale for a project and toensure that the outlined deadlines are met. They work closely with Setter Out,Manufacturing, Procurement, and Logistics to ensure a project runs on scheduleand that material supplies are sufficient.

RoleResponsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling Support:

• Assisting in the development of projecttimelines and detailed schedules for joinery and furniture manufacturingprojects, from start to delivery
• Learning to identify critical path activities,dependencies, and potential bottlenecks within the project lifecycle
• Supporting the creation of baseline schedules,dashboards, and tracking reports to monitor project progress

Coordination & Communication:

• Acting as a key interface between the Setting-Outdepartment, Procurement, Production, Logistics, Project Management,and external clients/parties
• Facilitating effective communication to ensureall stakeholders are aligned on project status, requirements, and deadlines
• Assisting in managing project correspondenceand documentation with external parties

Material & Resource Management Support:

• Collaborating with the Material Engineer andProcurement team to understand material requirements, lead times, and deliveryschedules
• Supporting the follow-up and follow-through oforders with the Procurement department, escalating issues and tracking deliverydates

Monitoring & Reporting:

• Supporting the preparation of weekly andmonthly progress reports for management review
• Assisting in tracking production progress andcoordinating with the production team to resolve any communication orcoordination issues
• Learning to perceive project phases and plotdependencies on tracking reports to facilitate organized follow-through

Process Improvement:

• Contributing to increasing team efficiency byproviding operational and administrative support
• Proposing and assisting in implementinginnovations in procedures to enhance departmental functionality and output

Qualifications

Education:

Experience & Interest:

• 3-5 years’ Experience in project planning,scheduling, and operations within the manufacturing or construction/fit-outindustry
• Worked on Extension of Time using differenttechniques
• Baseline Schedules, updates, EVM, Weekly andmonthly reports
• Preparing the dashboards
• Worked on Primavera P6, MS Project will be anadvantage
• Understanding the proper sequencing of theproject
