Job summary

Trace Systems is seeking an OSP/ISP Engineering Support to assist in the design, engineering, and deployment of telecom infrastructure at NSA, Juffair, Bahrain. You will apply knowledge of cables, racks, and containment, and work with AutoCAD/Visio to produce accurate field drawings and site layouts.

Candidates should have a US Secret clearance (Interim acceptable), 7+ years installing copper/fiber cabling and associated equipment, plus 2+ years in a military environment.

Qualifications

• Active US Government Secret clearance required (Interim acceptable).
• US citizenship required.
• 7+ years installing copper and fiber cabling and related equipment.
• 7+ years installing cabinets, cable ladder and rack systems.
• 2+ years in a military environment.
• BICSI or similar certification.
• Travel up to 10%.

Job Overview

Job Title: OSP/ISP Engineering Support

Location: NSA, Juffair, Bahrain

Job Responsibilities

• Knowledge of the physical infrastructure of telcom networks to include cables, poles, and conduit.
• Experienced in design and engineering of OSP-ISP projects, including cable routing, site development, and construction.
• Experience with technical documentation, use of OSP-ISP designed software such as AutoCAD, Visio, etc.
• Communication and interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications

• A n Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance (Interim Secret Clearance is acceptable).
• Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required .
• Must have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience installing outside and interior copper and fiber cabling, fiber optic modems, fiber multiplex equipment, fiber patch panels, analog and digital copper patch panels, main and intermediate distribution frames, lightning protection, and supporting ground and power connections.
• Must have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience installing of cabinets, cable ladder and rack systems, and equipment components in the cabinets.
• Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a military environment.
• Must have one of following required certifi cations: BICSI or similar certification .
• Able to travel to support mission up to 10%.

Education

• Associates degree in a Scientific Technical disc ipline, OR eleven (11) total years of recent specialized experience .
