Job summary

VAM Systems in Bahrain seeks a Network Engineer to join our Bahrain operations. The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in BIS or CS and hold Cisco CCNA/CCNP, AWS Networks, Fortinet certifications. At least 2 years in network support and security, with hands-on configuring firewalls, switches, routers and load balancers.

Responsibilities include vulnerability patching, security hardening, firmware upgrades, and coordination with teams and vendors. Immediate join upon interview.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in BIS, computer science or equivalent.
• Specialized networking certifications (CCNA, CCNP, AWS Networks or Fortinet) are required.
• 2+ years in network support and security, configuring network devices.
• Ability to troubleshoot network issues with multiple teams, ISPs and vendors.
• Experience with vulnerability patching and security hardening.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain network devices including firewalls, routers, and switches.
• Assist with patching vulnerabilities and hardening network security.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues.
• Plan and execute firmware upgrades for network nodes.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum of a bachelor s degree in BIS, computer science or equivalent. Specialized certification in Cisco CCNA, CCNP, AWS Networks, Fortinet or equivalent for networking Routing and Switching, Firewalls and Cloud technology Work experience in network support and security field of at least 2 years, in configuring network firewalls, switches, routers, load balancers Ability to troubleshoot of network issues with different teams, entities, ISP and vendors Working on vulnerabilities security patching by performing node firmware upgrade planning and execution and doing security configuration hardening.
