Job summary

Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain invites a seasoned Head Mixologist to lead our bar team at the 25/50 Destination Bar. You will design innovative cocktails, supervise bartenders, and uphold impeccable service in a luxury resort setting.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years in high-end hospitality, strong knowledge of spirits, and experience creating menus; supervisory skills, cost control, and guest relations are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years bartending/mixologist experience
• Experience as Mixologist or Senior Bartender in luxury settings
• Strong knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, wines, syrups
• Experience in cocktail menu creation and beverage program development
• Previous supervisory experience
• Understanding of beverage costing and inventory control
• Excellent communication and guest-service skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Certification in bartending/mixology is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Identify and meet guests’ needs, provide bar services, and upsell where appropriate
• Lead and supervise bartenders during daily operations
• Create, develop, and maintain innovative cocktail and beverage menus
• Establish and maintain recipes, specifications, garnishes, and presentation standards
• Ensure consistency and quality of all cocktails and beverages
• Train and coach bartenders on mixology, service standards, product knowledge, and responsible alcohol service
• Monitor beverage inventory, stock levels, wastage, and product quality
• Assist with purchasing and maintain relationships with suppliers
• Control beverage costs and support departmental financial targets
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks according to recipes
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach goals
• Handle guest inquiries courteously and report issues to Team Leaders
