Job summary

VertexGlobal in Bahrain is seeking a Head Chef to oversee all kitchen operations in our busy restaurant in Dar Kulaib. You will work with the restaurant manager to ensure food quality and efficiency, develop new menu items, and maintain high standards of presentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a chef in a high-volume restaurant.
• Culinary degree or diploma from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Knowledge of Middle Eastern cuisines is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking and plating.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
• Develop new menu items based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
• Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Collaborate with the restaurant manager to plan menus, set pricing and manage food costs.
• Manage schedules and monitor performance of kitchen staff.
• Stay updated on industry trends and introduce innovative techniques.
