Role Overview

We are hiring a Junior Project Manager. Our mission is to streamline and accelerate the adoption of open source across the global enterprise technology market. Our Project Managers ensure project success by owning, driving, communicating, and respectfully engaging all stakeholders, valuing integrity and accountability.

Within a portfolio of projects involving complex and evolving software technologies, customer and partner satisfaction relies on exceptional Project Managers who can effectively respect and engage all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

1. Ensuring programs and projects are delivered within schedule, scope, cost, budget, and resources expectations
2. Supporting the identification of key technical and project risks and issues, and implementing mitigating actions
3. Maintaining strong customer focus and collaborating with stakeholders for successful outcomes
4. Conducting regular status meetings and business reviews with customers
5. Supporting the delivery schedule of critical third-party deliverables
6. Advocating for appropriate technologies from Canonical's portfolio to customers

Candidate Profile

The ideal Junior Project Manager will have a strong academic background in science, software engineering, or information technology, with excellent communication skills in English and a solution-oriented mindset. You should be proactive, professional, and capable of effective negotiation, demonstrating leadership skills from academic or extracurricular activities.

• Degree in a technical field or a compelling alternative narrative
• Confidence to speak up, exchange feedback, and share ideas
• Proven track record of exceeding expectations
• Passion for technology demonstrated through personal projects

• Willingness to travel internationally twice a year for up to two weeks
