Job summary

Tanqeeb in Bahrain is seeking a Steward to maintain cleanliness and proper storage of china, glass, and silverware, while assisting the kitchen team in keeping the kitchen and storage areas sanitary and organized. You will help manage food storage and rotation to support safe, efficient operations.

Primary duties include heavy cleaning of ovens, grills, sinks, and equipment; operating dishwashing machinery; returning clean ware to storage; and assisting with buffet setup, banquets, and daily

Qualifications

• Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in kitchen areas.
• Proper handling and storage of chemicals with MSDS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and order in kitchens, back dock, dumpster and utility areas.
• Heavy cleaning of ovens, grills, sinks, walls, floors, walk-in refrigerators/freezers and other equipment.
• Operate dishwashing equipment to ensure thorough cleaning of china, glass and silverware.
• Return clean ware to storage with care to minimize breakage.
• Assist with buffet setup and banquet service as needed.
• Assist kitchen staff and servers to maintain smooth operations.
• Dispose of waste according to hotel standards and recycling guidelines.
