Job summary

NASS Group & Corporation in Bahrain is seeking a Graduate Surveyor to support commercial and quantity surveying functions across construction projects. You will assist with measurement, valuation, cost control, procurement, and administration of works, gaining practical experience while collaborating with the Commercial Manager and senior QS professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or commercial management within construction.
• Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and project processes.
• Basic knowledge of measurement techniques, quantities, take-offs, and Bills of Quantities.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Exposure to FIDIC or other standard forms of construction contracts is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist with measurement and quantification of construction works for tenders, valuations, and reporting.
• Support preparation of subcontractor and supplier enquiries and commercial documentation.
• Assist with interim payment applications and valuations in line with contract requirements.
• Assist with checking and processing subcontractor payment applications and invoices.
• Support preparation of project cost reports, budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow information.
• Monitor project expenditure against budgets and approved allowances.
• Assist in variations, claims, and other commercial submissions with supporting documentation.
• Develop understanding of standard forms of contract and their application to projects.
