Job summary

NTU International A/S seeks experienced Urban Development Experts for its Global Gateway Transport and Urban Facility 2 Talent Pool. The role involves identifying, appraising and implementing sustainable urban development projects across regions, with emphasis on smart, green and climate-resilient cities.

The position requires strong planning, governance and financial analysis skills, plus experience with international technical assistance and coordination among EU bodies, IFIs and partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in urban development, urban planning, municipal infrastructure or related sectors.
• Expertise in integrated urban planning and sustainable urban development.
• Experience with urban regeneration, mobility, and inclusive urban design.
• Familiarity with global gateway frameworks and international good practices.
• Experience in international technical assistance and donor-funded projects.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the identification, preparation, appraisal and implementation of sustainable urban development projects and programmes.
• Conducting urban diagnostics, prefeasibility and feasibility studies, technical assessments, economic and financial analyses, and urban development studies.
• Supporting integrated urban planning, land-use planning and the preparation of urban development strategies and master plans.
• Supporting the development of smart, green, inclusive, safe and climate-resilient cities.
• Advising public authorities on urban policies, regulatory frameworks and governance reforms.
• Supporting the preparation of urban investment pipelines aligned with Global Gateway and European Green Deal priorities.
• Integrating sustainable urban mobility and accessibility considerations into urban development planning.
• Supporting urban regeneration, public space development, nature-based solutions and green infrastructure.
