Job summary

The Apex Group is seeking an experienced fund accounting professional in Bahrain to support Private Equity funds. You will review NAV files, annual statements, and manage capital calls and distributions while ensuring regulatory compliance and timely client deliverables.

The role requires 5–10 years in fund accounting and a professional degree in accounting or finance, with strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate with clients and stakeholders under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in fund accounting for private equity or similar structures.
• Professional degree in accounting or finance and strong regulatory knowledge.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Review of Net Asset Valuation (NAV) files for Private Equity funds and ensure accuracy.
• Review of annual financial statements and related regulatory procedures.
• Calculation and processing of fund capital calls and distributions.
• Assist in audit processes and investor onboarding including AML/KYC review.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to ensure timely deliverables.

The Role & Key Responsibilities

• Review of Net Asset Valuation (NAV) files for a variety of Private Equity funds, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with fund governing and regulatory procedures
• Review of annual financial statements
• Calculation and processing of fund capital calls and distributions
• Assist in the preparation and completion of the audit process for assigned relationships
• Investor onboarding including AML/KYC documents review
• Assist in staff collaboration and ensure that client deliverables are being met
• Responsible for the consistency and accuracy of assigned relationships
• Submission of regulatory on behalf of clients
• Regular interaction with clients, fund directors and other relevant parties
• Assist management with MIS reporting

Skills Required

• A detailed understanding of Private Equity and other close ended fund structures and the fund administration industry
• A detailed understanding of regulatory requirements
• 5-10 years’ experience in fund accounting and a professional degree in accounting or finance
• An ability and desire to work to tight deadlines
• An ability to multi-task and manage projects
• Excellent interpersonal skills to develop working relationships with colleagues, clients, other stake holders
