Job summary

Apex Group in Manama seeks a Fund Accountant to coordinate administration for a group of clients, reviewing NAV files, annual financial statements, and fund distributions. You will assist in the audit process and AML/KYC onboarding, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

You will also collaborate with colleagues to ensure client deliverables are met and maintain strong relationships with clients, fund directors, and other stakeholders through clear communication and meticulous record-keeping.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years’ experience in fund accounting with a professional degree in accounting or finance.
• Knowledge of Private Equity and close-ended fund structures.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and multi-task.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review Net Asset Valuation (NAV) files for various funds and ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Review annual financial statements and calculate fund capital calls and distributions.
• Assist in audit processes for assigned relationships and onboarding AML/KYC documents.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure client deliverables are met and relationships maintained.
• Submit regulatory filings on behalf of clients and interact with fund directors.

Responsibilities will include: • Review of Net Asset Valuation (NAV) files for a variety of Private Equity funds, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with fund governing and regulatory procedures • Review of annual financial statements • Calculation and processing of fund capital calls and distributions • Assist in the preparation and completion of the audit process for assigned relationships • Investor onboarding including AML/KYC documents review • Assist in staff collaboration and ensure that client deliverables are being met • Responsible for the consistency and accuracy of assigned relationships • Submission of regulatory on behalf of clients • Regular interaction with clients, fund directors and other relevant parties • Assist management with MIS reporting Skills Required: • A detailed understanding of Private Equity and other close ended fund structures and the fund administration industry • A detailed understanding of regulatory requirements • 5-10 years’ experience in fund accounting and a professional degree in accounting or finance • An ability and desire to work to tight deadlines • An ability to multi-task and manage projects • Excellent interpersonal skills to develop working relationships with colleagues, clients, other stake holders • Excellent organisational skills • Excellent communication skill
