We are seeking experienced Electrical Maintenance & Testing Supervisor is responsible for the operation, maintenance, testing, and inspection of high‑voltage electrical systems in brownfield environments, ensuring asset integrity, safety, and reliability. The role requires extensive hands‑on experience with 220 kV substations, HV overhead lines (OHL), towers, and associated protection and control systems. The incumbent will work independently as an Authorized Electrical Person (AEP) and supervise maintenance, testing, and commissioning activities in live operational facilities.
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on high‑voltage equipment (up to 220 kV), including:
Conduct high‑voltage testing, such as:
Evaluate and interpret test results to assess equipment condition, serviceability, and remaining life.
Maintain and inspect 220 kV AIS substations, ensuring compliance with operating and safety standards.
Supervise inspection and maintenance of overhead transmission lines (OHL), towers, insulators, conductors, and fittings.
Coordinate shutdowns, isolations, earthing, and restoration activities in operational (brownfield) installations.
Maintain and test protection & control systems, including relays, interlocks, and SCADA interfaces.
Support commissioning and re‑commissioning of HV assets following maintenance or upgrades.
Verify protection schemes and ensure correct coordination and functionality.
Act as Authorized Electrical Person (AEP), ensuring strict adherence to HV safety rules and permit‑to‑work systems.
Lead risk assessments, method statements, and job safety analyses.
Ensure full compliance with company procedures, regulatory standards, and industry best practices related to HV operations.
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure hazard awareness among staff and contractors.
Supervise and coordinate maintenance and inspection teams, contractors, and specialized vendors.
Plan and execute maintenance schedules with minimal system disruption.
Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and traceability of maintenance and test activities.
Strong expertise in high‑voltage equipment maintenance and testing (220 kV class).
Proficient in HV testing tools and interpretation of diagnostic data.
Solid understanding of brownfield constraints, live system interfaces, and operational risks.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Proven experience working in brownfield HV environments.
Certified and authorized as an Authorized Electrical Person (AEP) (or equivalent utility/industry authorization).
