Job summary

Havelock One Interiors in Bahrain is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with proven expertise in interior fit-out and MEP construction to lead planning, execution, supervision, testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems.

The role requires coordinating with project managers, consultants, subcontractors and site teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to client specifications, while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5-10 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Gulf experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial or retail fit-out projects.
• Experience with interior fit-out and MEP construction.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all electrical installation activities for fit-out projects.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and shop drawings.
• Coordinate electrical works with architectural, civil, mechanical, and interior fit-out teams.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, local authority regulations, and electrical standards.
• Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed according to schedule.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities of electrical systems.
• Verify electrical installations prior to inspections and handover.
• Prepare testing reports and commissioning documentation.
• Support final project handover to clients and consultants.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution

• Supervise and manage all electrical installation activities for fit-out projects.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and shop drawings.
• Coordinate electrical works with architectural, civil, mechanical, and interior fit-out teams.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, local authority regulations, and electrical standards.
• Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed according to schedule.

Installation & Site Supervision

• Supervise installation of:
• Lighting systems
• Small power systems
• Distribution boards (DBs)
• Cable containment systems
• Earthing and lightning protection systems
• Emergency lighting systems
• Low-current systems (ELV)
• Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to approved shop drawings.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.

Testing & Commissioning

• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities of electrical systems.
• Verify electrical installations prior to inspections and handover.
• Prepare testing reports and commissioning documentation.
• Support final project handover to clients and consultants.

Technical Coordination

• Liaise with consultants, clients, contractors, and suppliers.
• Resolve technical issues and site challenges.
• Attend project coordination and progress meetings.
• Review and approve material submittals and technical documentation.

Quantity & Cost Control

• Prepare material take-offs and quantity calculations.
• Monitor material consumption and procurement requirements.
• Assist in preparing variation orders and cost estimates.
• Track project budgets and maintain cost control.

Health, Safety & Quality

• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and site safety regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and toolbox talks.
• Implement quality control procedures and inspections.
• Maintain project documentation and records.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial or retail fit-out projects.
• Gulf experience preferred.
