Job summary

AX Coin (a member of AXG) seeks an experienced Deputy CEO to join the executive leadership team in Bahrain. You will work with the CEO to define strategy, manage day-to-day operations, and build a robust compliance and operational framework to support rapid expansion in the local market.

You will lead the local organization, manage regulatory and banking partnerships, and drive governance, risk management, and strategic initiatives across the business.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of senior management or executive leadership experience in Fintech, Virtual Assets (Crypto/Web3), Banking, or Financial Services.
• Deep understanding of regional financial regulation and a proven track record of engaging with financial regulators.
• Strong network and background in corporate banking, payment infrastructure, or financial institutional partnerships.
• Sound knowledge of AML, CFT, and corporate governance frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred.

Position Overview

AX Coin (a member of AXG) is the first and only licensed stablecoin issuer under the regulation of the Central Bank of Bahrain. We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and dynamic leader to join our executive leadership team as Deputy CEO. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the CEO to oversee day-to-day operations, drive corporate strategy, and establish a robust operational and compliance framework in the local market.

You will lead the local organization, manage critical stakeholder relationships—including regulatory bodies and financial institutions—and oversee administrative and compliance activities to support AX Coin’s rapid expansion.

Key Responsibilities

1.Local Team Management

• Lead, direct, and mentor the local cross-functional teams to foster a high-performance, collaborative organizational culture.


• Oversee talent recruitment, retention, performance evaluation, and team development in alignment with corporate objectives.


• Streamline internal operations and drive efficiency across local business units.

2.Regulatory & Government Relations

• Serve as a primary representative of AX Coin in engaging with local government entities, financial regulators, and licensing bodies.


• Proactively monitor changes in relevant cryptocurrency, virtual asset, and financial laws and regulations.


• Maintain strong, transparent relationships with regulators to secure and uphold all necessary business licenses and operational approvals.

3.Banking & Financial Partnerships

• Lead the strategy and execution for securing, expanding, and managing relationships with local and global banking partners.


• Establish fiat-to-crypto gateways, payment channels, and custody banking solutions tailored to company operational needs.


• Negotiate key commercial terms with financial service providers to optimize operational costs and service delivery.

4.Office & Administrative Operations

• Oversee overall office administration, corporate governance, facilities management, and day-to-day business logistics.


• Establish and implement standardized administrative policies, vendor agreements, and operational procedures to ensure seamless daily execution.

5.Compliance & Risk Management

• Establish, implement, and maintain a robust risk management framework and compliance system tailored to virtual assets (AML/CFT, KYC, Sanctions).


• Ensure all business operations strictly adhere to local laws, regulatory guidelines, and global corporate risk protocols.


• Mitigate operational, legal, reputational, and financial risks proactively across all local business activities.

6.Strategic Business Expansion

• Partner with the CEO to shape and execute AX Coin’s long-term corporate strategy, regional expansion plans, and strategic roadmap.


• Identify and pursue high-value strategic partnerships, market opportunities, and commercial alliances to grow market share.


• Represent the company at key industry conferences, public forums, and stakeholder events to enhance brand presence.

Key Requirements

1.Experience:

10+ years of senior management or executive leadership experience in Fintech, Virtual Assets (Crypto/Web3), Banking, or Financial Services.

2.Regulatory Expertise:

Deep understanding of regional financial regulation and a proven track record of engaging with financial regulators.

3.Payment Network:

Strong network and background in corporate banking, payment infrastructure, or financial institutional partnerships.

4.Compliance Background:

Sound knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Financing of Terrorism (CFT), and corporate governance frameworks.

5.Leadership Skills:

Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, team building, and decision-making capabilities in a fast-paced environment.

6.Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, Economics, or a related field (Master’s / MBA preferred).

7.Languages:

Professional working proficiency in English and local language.
