Job summary

Advanced Search is seeking a diligent kitchen worker to prepare ingredients, portion and store food, wash, peel, and prep fruits and vegetables, and set up the workstation. You will operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, test for doneness, monitor quality and temperature, and ensure safety and cleanliness while following policies.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience; no supervisory experience is required.

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking and portion, chop, and store food.
• Wash, peel, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
• Cook according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently.
• Monitor food quality while preparing food and ensure safety.
• Set up and break down work station; maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Follow safety policies, report hazards, and maintain professional appearance.
