Job summary

Deloitte Development LLC in Bahrain is seeking an experienced Manager for Audit & Assurance – Controls Assurance. You will participate in proposals, oversee day-to-day engagements and work with teams to address accounting, reporting and operational issues on client projects.

You will leverage your IFRS knowledge and leadership skills to drive audit quality, risk management and stakeholder communication while coordinating with global Centers of Excellence.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in auditing, preferably with Big Audit Firms.
• Degree in Accounting, ACCA and CPA qualified.
• Experience implementing IFRS 9, 10, 15 and 16.
• Supervise staff, inspect client financial records, compile and analyze data, prepare detailed audit reports and resolve accounting research issues.
• Demonstrate ability to plan and manage engagements and people while ensuring deliverables meet work plan and deadlines.
• International accounting qualification is desired: ACCA, CPA or SOCPA.
• Fluent in English (Reading, Speaking and Writing); bilingual Arabic/English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in client proposals and oversee day-to-day operations of engagements.
• Tackle accounting, reporting and operational issues with the team.
• Build trust with stakeholders by understanding service level expectations and what matters to them.
• Deliver high-quality services with awareness of regulation and risk management on business processes and controls.
• Adapt referral instructions to outline the scope of procedures and audit focus.
• Liaise with onshore and offshore Centers of Excellence in delivering tasks.
• Track deliverables from component auditors and understand their relevance.
• Link risks, controls, procedures and findings across the EMS file in a timely manner.
• Explain audit quality milestones and how they contribute to audit quality.
• Understand audit plan timings and be prepared to challenge earlier completion when appropriate.
• Develop relationships beyond the finance function to apply professional skepticism.
• Be aware of risks around the engagement lifecycle and relevant protection policies.
• Demonstrate ability to apply AI in an audit context to improve efficiency and quality, including prompt engineering and structured problem-solving.
• Exercise professional scepticism when using AI outputs; validate accuracy and completeness.
