Job summary

PeakFleet in Muharraq, Bahrain is seeking an experienced Baker to join our kitchen team. You will prepare a variety of baked goods including bread, pastries, cakes and cookies, and report to the Head Baker.

Responsibilities include decorating pastries, quality control, adjusting recipes, maintaining inventory and ensuring food safety. The role requires flexibility for early mornings, weekends and holidays, with opportunities for growth within PeakFleet.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a baker or pastry chef.
• Knowledge of different baking techniques and methods.
• Ability to read and follow recipes accurately.
• Creativity in decorating pastries and desserts.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good time management to meet production deadlines.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Physically fit for long hours of standing and lifting.
• Availability to work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake various types of bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies.
• Decorate pastries and desserts with icing, glazes, toppings, or fillings.
• Ensure quality control by inspecting ingredients for freshness and measuring accurately.
• Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Collaborate with other team members to create new recipes and menu items.
• Keep work area clean and organized at all times.
• Follow baking schedules and production guidelines to meet customer demands.
• Assist in training new bakers when needed.
