Job summary

Era Projects is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer for an on-site, full-time role in Bahrain. The candidate will lead project scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting using Primavera P6, build WBS structures, and coordinate with project teams to ensure alignment with milestones.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in construction planning, strong Primavera P6 and MS Office skills, and Bahrain/GCC project exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in the construction industry.
• Strong Primavera P6 knowledge; MS Project is an advantage.
• GCC/Bahrain construction experience preferred.
• Ability to read drawings, BOQs, and project specifications.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed construction project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) based on project drawings, scope, and construction activities.
• Develop baseline programs, target milestones, and project execution schedules.
• Monitor actual progress against approved baseline schedules.
• Collect and verify daily/weekly progress information from site teams.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
• Identify delays, slippages, critical activities, and potential schedule risks.
• Analyze the critical path, float, and schedule performance.
• Prepare recovery programs and recommend corrective actions for delayed activities.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, QS, subcontractors, and other departments.
• Track manpower, materials, equipment, and resources against project requirements.
• Update schedules based on approved variations, changes, and actual site progress.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules and short-term execution plans.
• Assist with Extension of Time (EOT) claims and delay analysis when required.
• Monitor project milestones and ensure activities are aligned with overall project objectives.
• Attend progress meetings and provide planning and scheduling updates.
• Maintain proper records of programs, progress updates, reports, and planning documentation.
