Job summary

Deutsche Post is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our Insanely Customer Centric team in Bahrain. You will carry out maintenance, repair and alterations on aircraft, ensuring compliance with approved data and safety standards.

You'll manage parts requisition, document certification, and provide technical support including AOG recovery when required. Strong English and computer literacy are essential, with willingness to work shifts and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Hangar and/or Line Maintenance.
• Valid EASA Part-66/ICAO Type II/CAT A license details in profile.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair and alterations to aircraft per approved data and standards.
• Certify and document maintenance actions; ensure proper paperwork.
• Requisition parts, verify serviceability and return documentation.
• Communicate with Line Maintenance Manager to maintain safety and continuity.
• Adhere to safety practices and report unsafe conditions or equipment.
• Operate and maintain ground support equipment; keep work areas tidy.
• Input Tech Log and Work Order data into TRAX system.
• Provide Outstation & Flying Spanner support when required.
• AD‑HOC Aircraft AOG recovery support as needed in Bahrain.
• Analyze and troubleshoot aircraft systems and engines from manuals and training.
• Prioritize work based on fleet schedule and monitor progress.

ROLE PURPOSE:

To carry out maintenance, repair, modifications and alterations to customers or company owned, leased or operated aircraft.

YOUR TASKS:

• Ensure that aircraft maintenance is always performed to the highest standards and in compliance with applicable and approved data.
• Ensure that all maintenance related documentation is properly actioned and certified within the category A scope of approval.
• Be responsible for the requisitioning of parts from stores, assuring serviceability of parts, completion of appropriate tags, return of parts to Stores with the applicable forms and documentation completed;
• Responsible for written and verbal communication of information to the applicable Line Maintenance Manager to ensure a satisfactory level of continuity and safety regarding work in progress (or pending) with respect to aircraft, equipment, personnel and safety;
• Shall ensure that safety precautions and safe practices are adhered to and practiced by those personnel under his direction. Reporting any unsafe conditions or equipment to the Line Manager;
• Ensure that company owned and/or operated maintenance and ground support equipment is operated and maintained in safe and operable condition. All GSE defects to be documented and reported to the GSE mechanic;
• Ensure that all line maintenance areas are kept in a neat and orderly manner at all times.
• Inputting of all relevant aircraft Tech Log and Work Order information including component changes into the TRAX computer maintenance program;
• The completion of applicable certification paperwork & the writing of concise reports;
• Provide Outstation & Flying Spanner support when operationally required;
• To provide AD-HOC Aircraft AOG recovery support when required which will include recovery of Aircrafts outside of Bahrain.
• Must be able to analyse and troubleshoot aircraft systems and engines utilising knowledge learnt from individual aircraft familiarization courses, maintenance manuals and references, and experience gained from 'hands-on' practical on the job training.
• Must be able to make timely and appropriate decisions based on problem solving ability and experience. Remains objective and co-ordinate with relevant departments, even when under pressure, to make a calculated decision with considerations given to safe ‘on time performance’ of the company fleet.
• Must be able to prioritize work requirements based on fleet arrivals, departures and scheduled maintenance. Monitor progress throughout shift, anticipate problems and adjust work or schedule to ensure optimum serviceability at all times. Including flying technical support when called upon.

YOUR PROFILE:

• Proven experience in Hangar and/or Line Maintenance (excluding apprenticeship or basic training).
• Valid EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance License, ICAO Type II License, or CAT A License required. B767 type rating is an added advantage.
• Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment, willing to work shifts (including nights), undertake outstation assignments, and perform flying spanner duties as required. Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision, with strong written and spoken English skills and good computer literacy.
