Job summary

DHL Express in Bahrain is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor to oversee licensed engineers and certify aircraft return to service. The role requires a strong Boeing 767 background, a valid EASA Part 66 or ICAO Type 2 license, and leadership in safety-critical settings.

You will coordinate maintenance tasks, ensure compliance with data, manage documentation, and support a safe, international operations culture at DHL Express.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years aircraft maintenance experience, excluding apprenticeship.
  • Licensed B2 Avionics engineer, Boeing 767 preferred.
  • Strong communication with flight crews, dispatchers and management.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise licensed engineers and certify airworthiness.
  • Maintain DRR standards and safety across maintenance tasks.
  • Oversee documentation, parts requisition and TRAX data entry.
  • Coordinate on-the-job training for mechanics and trainees.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, SBs, ADs and service letters.
  • Manage line maintenance areas and act for Line Supervisor when needed.

Overall Role Purpose
  • Supervises licensed engineers and unlicensed maintenance mechanics. Has authorization to release aircraft back to service for which he is legally entitled to certify.
  • Technical role with authorization to release aircraft back to service for which he is legally entitled to certify.
  • Maintaining highest possible technical DRR whilst assessing multiple factors surrounding aircraft serviceability.
Your Tasks
  • Ensure that aircraft maintenance is performed to the highest standards and at all times in compliance with applicable and approved data.
  • Assist in "On-the-job" training of mechanics and trainees in the performance of their duties.
  • Responsible for the upkeep and update of Company issued IT such as IPADs & onboard carried mobile phones.
  • Responsible for the written and verbal communication of information from his shift to the succeeding shift to ensure a satisfactory level of continuity and safety with regard to work in progress (or pending) with respect to aircraft, equipment, personnel and safety.
  • Be responsible for requisitioning of parts from stores, assuring serviceability of parts, completion of appropriate tags, return of parts to stores and assuring that required forms and documents are properly completed.
  • Maintain and Manage the ETL as end users including the procedure to print in the event of ETL failure.
  • Ensure that all maintenance related documentation is properly actioned and completed.
  • Keep up-to-date on all applicable regulations, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives and manufacturer’s service letters and other pertinent publications.
  • Responsible for the completion of mandatory trainings on a quarterly basis such as Continuation Training , SFAR 88 Fuel Tank safety & Human Factors.
  • Shall ensure that safety precautions and safe practices are adhered to and practiced by those personnel under his direction. Reporting any unsafe conditions or equipment to the Line Manager.
  • The reporting of safety risks during flights at outstations through the Trip Reporting & QPULSE systems.
  • Ensure that company owned and/or operated maintenance and ground support equipment is operated and maintained in safe and operable condition. All GSE defects to be documented and reported to the GSE mechanic.
  • Responsible to keep up to date with roster change notifications from the AIMs system even on days off.
  • Ensure that all line maintenance areas are kept in a neat and orderly manner at all times.
  • Will be required to act on behalf of Line Supervisor or Line Manager as required.
  • Inputting of all relevant aircraft Tech Log and Work Order information including component changes into the TRAX computer maintenance program.
Your Profile
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years aircraft maintenance experience, excluding apprenticeship or basic training.
  • Must be a licensed, certifying, and company-approved B2 Avionics engineer, preferably on the Boeing Aircraft.
  • Must be able to communicate assertively, effectively and diplomatically with flight crew, flight dispatchers, ground handling personnel and senior management, as required.
  • Valid EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance License or ICAO Type 2 License, with endorsement in Boeing 767 Aircraft.
