Job summary

ITS is seeking a Business Analyst to support the Data Privacy team for a well-known Islamic bank in Bahrain. You will document and maintain RoPA records, map data flows, and ensure compliance with data protection requirements.

You will engage with business units and process owners to capture end-to-end details, support attestation cycles, and produce RoPA status reports. Strong Excel and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Process Analyst, or similar role.
• Preferred experience within banking or financial services.

Responsibilities

• Engage proactively with Business Units and support functions to identify, review, and document business processes involving personal data, including new processes, changes, and decommissioned activities.
• Engage relevant stakeholders and process owners to capture end-to-end process details: purpose, data elements, systems, internal and external recipients, third parties, and storage locations.
• Maintain the RoPA and support data inventory, ensuring entries are accurate, current, and complete to a named process owner.
• Establish and run a periodic attestation cycle requiring business units and functions to confirm or update their RoPA entries and elevate non-responsive functions.
• Map data flows across systems and third parties, producing clear process and data flow documentation to support the Data Privacy team’s assessments.
• Produce management reporting on RoPA coverage, status, and outstanding actions.

For a well-known Islamic bank in Bahrain, we are looking for a Business Analyst that will support the Data Privacy team by working closely with business units and support functions to document, review, and maintain accurate records of business processes and data flows involving personal data. And ensuring that Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) are accurate, current, and compliant with data protection requirements. The role is responsible for capturing accurate and up-to-date process information to deliver the necessary enhancements required to be fully compliant.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and documentation tools.
• Experience with GRC or data inventory platforms is an advantage.
