As a Backend Engineer (AI Agent/Harness Specialist), you will design, build, and maintain backend services that power Spookling’s AI-driven workspace, with a strong focus on agent orchestration and integration harnesses. You will develop and optimize APIs, data pipelines, and microservices that connect AI models to user-facing features, ensuring performance, reliability, and security. Day-to-day, you will collaborate closely with product managers, AI/ML engineers, and front-end developers to translate business requirements into scalable backend architectures. You will be responsible for implementing integration layers with external platforms, monitoring system health, troubleshooting production issues, and improving developer tooling for AI agent workflows. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Manama, where you will work with a cross-functional team to ship features quickly in a dynamic startup environment.
