Job summary

DHL Air (Bahrain) seeks a seasoned Quality Assurance Auditor to manage the QA Audit Programme, drive regulatory compliance, and monitor corrective actions across operations. You will conduct audits, assess risk, and prepare detailed reports to uphold global standards.

The role requires 5+ years in QA auditing within airlines, strong leadership, and English proficiency. An aviation degree or relevant licenses plus IQSMS experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ work experience in Quality Assurance as a Lead Auditor in an Airline environment.
• Holder of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License, Pilots Licence, Flight Dispatcher Licence, Load Master for at least 10 years, or degree preferably in Aviation management.
• Must have strong leadership, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Strong analytical competencies.
• Negotiation skills are essential for the job holder.
• Knowledge and understanding of DHL and third-party airside operations.
• Has held a similar position in an airline or regulatory authority.
• Successful completion of a Quality System Course, e.g.: Auditor / Lead Auditor Course.
• Knowledge and experience with IQSMS or other Auditing software programs.
• Excellent planning skills to meet the agreed audit dates and times by planning trips and times accordingly.
• Must be able to plan and employ a systematic travel and audit plan.
• Good computer (MS Office), writing and communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of International and National Civil Aviation Legislation.
• Train the Trainer Course.
• Fluent in written and oral English.

Responsibilities

• Audit and inspections in accordance with the approved Quality Assurance Audit Program.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of operational processes and internal controls against regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
• Verify compliance across Flight Operations, Ground Operations, Engineering & Maintenance, Safety, Security, and service providers.
• Collect, analyse, and evaluate objective evidence to determine levels of compliance and identify areas of risk.
• Prepare comprehensive audit and surveillance reports with findings and non-conformities.
• Monitor corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely closure of audit findings.
• Conduct follow-up audits to confirm effectiveness.
• Review manuals, procedures, and documentation for alignment with requirements.
• Support continual improvement of the Quality Management System.
• Maintain accurate audit records in approved systems.
• Monitor ground operations and oversee service providers for compliance.
• Liaise with ground service providers, vendors, regulators, and stakeholders.
