ARKIS in Bahrain seeks a senior leader to head Arabic, Islamic Studies, Social Studies and Citizenship across the Elementary School. You will ensure consistent curriculum, high-quality teaching and ongoing improvements aligned with school priorities.

You will lead curriculum planning, assessments, moderation and data-driven interventions while mentoring a team of teachers and coordinating with leadership and parents to support inclusion and student wellbeing.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Arabic, Islamic Studies, Education, or a related field.
• B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Leadership or subject coordination experience is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for Arabic, Islamic Studies, Social Studies and Citizenship across the Elementary School, ensuring high-quality teaching.
• Lead the development, implementation and review of curriculum plans, assessments and learning resources in line with school and MOE requirements.
• Monitor and improve teaching quality through observations, planning reviews and quality-assurance activities.
• Line-manage, mentor and support departmental staff with clear expectations and professional development.
• Monitor student attainment data, identify gaps and ensure appropriate interventions are implemented.
