Job summary

Etihad Airways in Bahrain is seeking an Airport Manager to lead and direct airport operations, ensuring safety, customer service, and on-time performance while coordinating with service providers and internal teams.

You will manage shifts, oversee VIP services, security, and incident response, and drive continuous improvement in efficiency and regulatory compliance across all standards.

Qualifications

• Degree level education desirable or relevant industry experience with leadership, project management and business solutions skills.
• Minimum 7-9 years relevant experience in a leadership or senior management capacity with exposure to global business best practice.
• Experience leading in a highly pressured, multicultural shift environment; ability to drive results and communicate across multiple channels.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all passenger and aircraft handling operations on a management and shift basis.
• Participate in daily operations, including weekends and holidays, to deliver local operations.
• Manage safety, security promotion, hazard identification, risk assessment and compliance monitoring.
• Coordinate VIP/MAAS, PRM and special guest requirements and provide planning and coordination.
• Deliver and rehearse station emergency response, disruption planning and business continuity plans.
• Ensure on-time performance and accurate reporting of delays; manage airport ancillary sales and promotions.
• Lead with a focus on customer service standards and KPI reporting.
• Perform the role of Local Security Contact Officer.
