Accountant — Global Finance & Audit Support

Job summary

Pramac, a Generac Company, is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join the Finance team in Manama, Bahrain. The role covers day-to-day accounting, AP/AR, GL, month-end close, VAT compliance and audit support in a dynamic multinational setting.

The successful candidate will be ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified with 5–10 years of relevant experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Oracle ERP. Excellent English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent).
• 5-10 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a multinational company.
• Strong knowledge of AP/AR, GL, VAT/tax compliance and audits.
• Experience with internal controls and SOX compliance is preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems (Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities and maintain complete, accurate financial records.
• Manage Accounts Payable, including supplier invoices, payments and reconciliations.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable, statements, collections and reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger and record financial transactions accurately.
• Coordinate month-end closing, journal reviews and balance sheet schedules.
• Support VAT returns and other local tax compliance requirements.
• Assist audits with schedules, documentation and responses to queries.
