Job summary

FamilyFirst Qatar is seeking an experienced accountant to manage all accounting operations and oversee financial reporting from Bahrain. The role involves ensuring regulatory compliance, handling tax filings and aiding audits, while supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with at least three years in a similar position. Strong Excel and QuickBooks skills are essential, along with independent work capability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, laws and regulations.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks and financial analysis software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
• Handle tax filings and assist with audits.
• Monitor cash flow and manage budgeting processes.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
• Provide support during budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Assist with payroll processing.
• Identify areas for improvement in financial processes and procedures.
