We organize welcome moments where everyone is greeted with their questions and offer low-threshold, confidential, free support. We are part of CAW Antwerpen, a large dynamic social organization with a mission to combat all forms of exclusion. We are looking for an onthaalt vrijwiller (reception volunteer) to help build the CAW huis of the future.

• Accommodate one or more reception moments (see vacancy for details).
• Work at CAW Huis Oost, Cornelis Schutstraat 28, Deurne or Langstraat 102, Borgerhout.
• At 9:00 start with greetings, prepare the reception desk for arriving clients, and brief a colleague.
• At 9:30 open the door, warmly welcome clients, assess whether they have an appointment, explain procedures for walk-ins, and refer to a social worker if needed.
• Assist clients in the waiting room and support the helpers with administrative tasks.
• End of shift: leave the reception area tidy and closed and return home.
• On subsequent Mondays, perform similar tasks under varying daily conditions.

• Open to a diverse audience; discreet and respectful attitude.
• Ability to set boundaries and strong social skills.
• Provide a listening ear and refer questions to the social worker when needed.

• In CAW Huis Oost, Cornelis Schutstraat 28, Deurne:
  • Monday morning 9:00–12:30
  • Monday evening 16:45–19:00
  • Tuesday 12:30–16:00
  • Wednesday afternoon 12:30–16:00
  • Friday morning 9:00–12:30
• In Langstraat 102, 2140 Borgerhout:
  • Thursday 9:00–12:30
