Job summary

Nikon Metrology in Leuven, Belgium is seeking an experienced Applications Engineer X‑Ray to provide technical guidance and inspection solutions across pre‑sales and service processes. You will work in a small team delivering inspection services, analysis, reports, and customer support, while driving demonstrations, benchmarking, and tailored solutions.

Key activities include collaboration with sales, developing inspection methodologies, and presenting findings to customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in technical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in technical inspection, NDT, industrial CT or QA environments.
• Knowledge of metrology and CAD/simulation is preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance during pre‑sales and inspection services.
• Deliver inspection services, analysis, reporting, and customer support.
• Lead demonstrations, benchmarking, training, and solution development.
• Collaborate with sales and service teams to plan activities and priorities.
• Develop tailored inspection methodologies to meet customer requirements.
• Prepare presentations and reports for customers and stakeholders.
• Support technical qualification for the sales team with deep expertise.
• Ensure best‑practice usage of equipment for customers.
