Wlgroup is seeking an IT support technician to manage computing, printing and network devices for a multinational defence site in Mons, Belgium. You will install, configure, and restore systems, working on-site alongside the users you support.

The role includes setting up software, configuring servers and peripherals, managing user access and Active Directory, and contributing to security and configuration management processes.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on work with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
• Proven work with Active Directory objects, user accounts and permissions.
• Three years in a communications and information systems environment.
• Three years supporting users, desktop hardware and desktop software.
• Current operating systems and office automation software.

Responsabilités

• Installing, maintaining and operating the full spread of workstations, printers and network devices behind the site's office automation services.
• Setting up commercial software on networked and standalone machines, and the network client software on the local-network workstations.
• Configuring local server software and the more awkward peripherals.
• Creating and maintaining user access, and troubleshooting it for both fixed desks and mobile devices.
• Working with organisational units in Active Directory and with group policy.
• Handling support requests, work orders and whatever else the queue brings.
• Packaging software so it deploys automatically rather than one machine at a time.
• Contributing to security compliance and remediation work.
• Feeding incident, change, configuration and asset management through the service-management toolkit

What you would be doing
