Job summary

VANDEWIELE is seeking an ambitious WMS Application Owner to take ownership of the Infios WMS in a high-tech manufacturing setting. You will drive operation, development and the roadmap, ensuring system stability and integration with automated warehouses, MES, ERP and production processes.

The role reports to the IT Manager Business Applications and involves translating business needs into sustainable WMS solutions while coordinating with operations, production, suppliers and internal IT teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent; experience with IT systems in logistics or production environments
• Keen interest in production processes and connecting this with IT solutions
• Sharp analytical mind for tackling complex problems
• Ability to spot opportunities in digital transformation projects
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders
• Change management experience is highly desirable
• Dutch and English (French a plus)

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the Infios WMS application, including its functional operation, configuration, stability, roadmap and continuous improvement.
• Analyse business needs and translate them into future-proof WMS solutions within logistics, production and IT architecture.
• Safeguard integration between fully automated warehouses, autonomous vehicles, MES, ERP and production processes.
• Set priorities, coordinate changes and work with users, operations, production, suppliers and internal IT teams.
• Drive test scenarios, validations and acceptance criteria for deployment of new/modified functionality.
• Follow up on incidents and structural issues with root-cause analysis for business continuity.
• Act as SME for the WMS vendor and assure quality of analyses, solutions, docs and deliverables.
• Build knowledge, governance and documentation for WMS domain to keep it manageable and transferable.
• Post onboarding, contribute to implementations, optimisations and rollouts at other sites.

The IT team in Marke has about twenty colleagues and consists of 2 sub-teams: Infrastructure and Business Applications. Together with the IT suppliers, we provide service to the entire Vandewiele Group.

Your function

Do you want to take ownership of a business-critical WMS application in a high-tech manufacturing environment? As Application Owner WMS, you are the driving force behind the operation, further development and roadmap of our Infios WMS solution. You safeguard system stability, translate business needs into sustainable solutions, and ensure that fully automated warehouses, autonomous vehicles and production processes work together as one reliable and efficient ecosystem.

Your Responsabilities

You take functional and application ownership of the WMS domain. You help define the direction of the solution, safeguard end-to-end quality, and ensure that Infios WMS is optimally aligned with our warehouse, logistics and production processes.

• Take ownership of the Infios WMS application, including its functional operation, configuration, stability, roadmap and continuous improvement.


• Analyse business needs and translate them into future-proof WMS solutions that fit within our logistics, production and IT architecture.


• Safeguard the integration between fully automated warehouses, autonomous vehicles, MES, ERP and production processes.


• Set priorities, prepare changes and coordinate implementations in close collaboration with key users, operations, production, suppliers and internal IT teams.


• Drive test scenarios, validations and acceptance criteria to ensure that new or modified functionality can be reliably deployed into production.


• Follow up on incidents, structural issues and areas for improvement through to their root cause, with a strong focus on business continuity and sustainable solutions.


• Act as the subject-matter counterpart for the WMS vendor and safeguard the quality of analyses, solutions, documentation and deliverables.


• Build knowledge, process documentation and governance around the WMS domain to ensure the solution remains manageable, scalable and transferable.


• After an onboarding period, also contribute to implementations, optimisations and rollout projects at other sites within the group.

You report directly to the IT Manager Business Applications.

Your profile

• You have a Master's degree or equivalent through experience. Experience with IT systems in logistics or production environments is a necessity


• You have a keen interest in production processes and a passion for connecting this with IT solutions.


• You possess a sharp analytical mind, capable of tackling and solving complex problems.


• You can spot and capitalize on opportunities in digital transformation projects.


• Excellent interpersonal skills are a must, as you’ll need to communicate and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including senior management, IT teams, and external partners.


• Experience in change management is highly desirable.


• Besides Dutch, you can express yourself in English. French is a plus.
