Job summary

Global Water & Energy is seeking a Business Developer with a technical background to drive growth in (West) Africa, expanding our sales of wastewater treatment plants, waste-to-energy solutions, and biogas installations. You will travel to identify opportunities and promote our technologies to clients, governments, and engineering agencies.

The role requires a technical/engineering background, proven sales experience, and a strong network in Africa, with fluency in English and French.

Qualifications

Technical/Engineering bachelor education.
Demonstrated ability to translate technical solutions into commercial opportunities.
Operational sales experience in the industry (preferred wastewater/ biogas/ energy). Food & Beverage industry experience is strongly preferred.
Experience with long sales projects with complex DMUs.
Existing network in Africa, preferably West Africa, with recognizable presence in the food industry.
Proficiency in English and French (spoken and written); knowledge of other languages is a plus.
Willingness to travel frequently (approximately 35% of the time).

Responsibilities

Develop and expand GWE's business in (West) Africa by selling complete wastewater treatment plants, waste-to-energy solutions and biogas utilization installations.
Frequent visits to the area to identify opportunities for GWE’s clients and prospects.
Introduce and promote GWE's innovative technologies to the prospects and clients.
Build, maintain and further expand relationships with existing clients, governments, engineering agencies and local advisors.
Internal communication with GWE’s sales and engineering team to deliver the economically attractive solution tailored to the clients’ requirements and local conditions.
