Job summary

Aegis Vision in Belgium seeks a seasoned Voice and VTC specialist to design, deploy and optimize voice and video conferencing infrastructures, ensuring high availability and secure communications for multinational projects.

You will mentor colleagues, coordinate changes, maintain technical documentation and provide third‑line support for complex VOIP/VTC environments, including TLS, PKI, IPSec, and SIP signaling, across a dynamic, international setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with 2 years post‑related experience.
• Alternatively, 6+ years extensive and progressive duties experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 2 years’ experience designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing collaboration tools.
• Experience deploying communication and collaboration software (video conferencing, team apps, document sharing).
• Proven experience in configuring and operating Voice and VTC core systems and end devices.
• Experience deploying security features in Voice/VTC domains (TLS, PKI, IPSec).
• Excellent troubleshooting with a methodical approach to QoS and complex IP networks.
• Knowledge of SIP, H.323 and PSTN signaling protocols.
• Good working knowledge of virtualization and cloud.

Responsibilities

• Perform service continuity improvement tasks on NATO voice & VTC infrastructures.
• Support innovation efforts related to voice and video conferencing technology.
• Work with the project management team and provide technical support to projects to enhance the existing infrastructure and services.
• Plan, test and carry out routine configuration and maintenance operations within the voice and VTC domains.
• Be prepared to support maintenance activities and deployments during out of business hours.
• Coordinate and raise CRQs and ASIs when needed.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and provide training on new technologies and features.
• Mentor and/or coach team members on new voice and VTC technologies.
• Investigate and propose long‑term solutions to equipment and configuration problems.
• Provide third level support to the operations team for static and deployable VOIP/VTC infrastructures.
• Deputize for higher‑grade staff, if required.
• Perform other duties as may be required.
