New VIE opportunity as a Continental Material Planner in Ghent (Belgium)! The duration of the mission is 24 months, and we would like you to start on January 1st, 2027.
We have 5300 employees on more than 60 locations world-wide. Our job is to design, handle and optimize the supply chain for all Volvo Group brands and for selected customers within the automotive industry.
At SO&T (Service Operations & Technology) you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry, and society at large.
You will manage a portfolio of suppliers and spare parts references for multiple group brands. This includes supplier management, parts availability, backorder handling, and supplier escalation. We also drive the development of the supply planning process through continuous improvement. The work activities are carried out in close collaboration with Volvo Group brands, buyers, engineering, demand/inventory planning.

You have a university degree, preferably in Logistics or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience.
You bring a strong analytical mindset and enjoy turning data into clear priorities and decisions. You are an action-driven team player and an effective networker, comfortable working across functions and cultures in an international environment.You are confident challenging suppliers to meet agreed targets, and you combine strong communication with solid negotiation skills.
You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, and you work confidently with Excel, Office 365, and Power BI. Experience in continuous improvement is a plus.
