Volvo Group’s Central Distribution Center Gent seeks a Warehouse Engineering & Inventory Management Leader to steer a specialists team responsible for engineering, inventory optimization, layout design and strategic development. You’ll ensure readiness for growth while upholding safety and world-class performance, shaping the 2030 roadmap and beyond.

You will combine strategic vision with hands-on execution, building partnerships and steering investments to transform our warehouse capabilities

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in engineering, logistics, warehouse operations or supply chain environments.
• Strong understanding of warehouse flows, capacity management and optimization.

As Warehouse Engineering & Inventory Management Leader, you lead a team of specialists responsible for warehouse engineering, inventory optimization, layout design, and strategic warehouse development.

Together with your team, you ensure that CDC Gent is ready to support future growth while maintaining world-class operational performance, putting safety and the customer first.

You combine strategic vision with operational execution and play a key role in defining how our warehouse tackles the major challenges towards 2030 and beyond.

In this role, you will

• Lead the inventory management team that optimizes storage utilization, inventory placement and operational efficiency.
• Lead the engineering team that drives projects related to safety, ergonomics, automation, warehouse technologies and operational improvements.
• Support in creating and driving the masterplan to gear up for the future.
• Build business cases and manage investment budgets supporting future warehouse capabilities.
• You build strong partnerships with all relevant stakeholders to align goals and drive transformation.
