DEME Group in Belgium seeks a Technical Engineer – Vessel Construction & Systems to maintain and improve the structural and technical integrity of our offshore and dredging fleet. You will prepare technical solutions and support maintenance, repair, and modification activities on our vessels, focusing on vessel construction, steel structures, and piping systems.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Naval Architecture or related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in shipbuilding, repair, or maritime engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with independent work style.
• Willing to travel occasionally to vessels, shipyards or suppliers.

Responsabilités

• Prepare maintenance, repair, and modification activities related to vessel construction and general technical systems.
• Develop technical solutions, repair methodologies, resource plans, budgets, and safety documentation for work on vessels.
• Deliver detailed technical work packages and descriptions for execution during maintenance campaigns and dry docks.
• Define maintenance and repair methodologies for steel structures, hull damage, piping systems, and general vessel construction works.
• Analyze recurring technical issues and coordinate with reliability and fleet teams for improvements.
• Provide technical support during inspections, surveys, and maintenance activities on vessels.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient execution of technical activities.
• Stay informed about innovations and best practices in shipbuilding and maritime engineering.
