DEME is seeking a Technical Engineer – Dredging Systems based at our Belgian headquarters. You will support maintenance, repair and reliability of dredging equipment on our vessels, working with crews and specialists.
Occasional visits to ships, shipyards and workshops are expected to assess equipment and plan campaigns. We value a master's degree in engineering and about five years in technical roles, with strong mechanical skills and the ability to read drawings.
As a Technical Engineer – Dredging Systems, you play a key role in maintaining and improving the dredging equipment that powers DEME's world-class fleet of dredging vessels. Based at our headquarters in Belgium, you support the maintenance, repair, and reliability of critical dredging systems installed on our vessels. From wear-intensive piping systems and trailing pipes to large mechanical components and steel structures, you ensure that our dredging equipment remains operational and ready to perform in demanding environments. This is not a sailing or crew position. You will be primarily based at our Belgian headquarters, working closely with fellow engineers, vessel crews, and technical specialists. Occasional visits to dredging vessels, shipyards, and workshops are part of the role to assess equipment, prepare maintenance activities, or support larger repair campaigns. Working across the world's largest and most advanced fleet of dredging vessels, you will gain exposure to state-of-the-art dredging equipment and contribute directly to keeping our fleet operational and efficient.
